Summary

FourFront Design, Inc. is in immediate need for an Architect to join our firm. This is a great opportunity for a candidate with over 5 years’ experience in architectural design and project management and to coordinate project components between client(s), other design professionals and contractors. The Architect will research, plan, design, and administer building projects for clients, applying knowledge of design, construction procedures, zoning and building codes, and building materials. The Architect may work on oversee the entire design process or assist as a technical expert on a specialized design. The ideal candidate must be able to work independently and communicate effectively with design and engineering teams.

Essential Functions

• Assess the requirements of a project, break a project into tasks, and work with a Project Manager to determine scope of work, budget and staffing.
• Write scope of work for architectural design based on preliminary review and meetings with the client.
• Knowledge of applicable building codes. Work with code officials and other design professionals when an interpretation or exception to building codes is required.
• Experience in dealing with governmental agencies, building codes and zoning ordinances.
• Coordinate all aspects of project document completion within company and externally with clients and other design professionals. Proficient written and oral communications skills.
• Promote use of and participate in development of company design and production standards.
•  Assist in the education and development of design staff and act as resource for design questions.
• Provide expertise in sustainable design practices and LEED principles as required by the project.
• Collaborate and coordinate with outside consultants on projects.
• May supervise or coordinate the work of project design team and other technical support personnel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum of 5 years previous architectural design experience.
• Project Management experience a plus.
• Prefer candidate with design/drawing experience for commercial, healthcare, educational, and federal facilities.
• Registered NCARB license required.

• Project management experience preferred.
• Willing to apply for additional state licenses when required for work.
• Superior communication, presentation, and project programming and management skills.
• Highly organized and able to meet schedules and deadlines.
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD required.

Summary

FourFront Design, Inc. is in immediate need for an Interior Designer to join our firm. This is a great opportunity for a candidate with over 5 years’ experience. The Interior Designer collaborates with the Project Architect or Project Manager to identify, research and present creative solutions to specific interior design challenges. The Interior Design team then works together to plan, design and furnish interior environments of commercial and residential buildings with the goal of designing a healthy, safe and comfortable physical environment. The Interior Designer is responsible for all aspects of the interior design process and is expected to interact with the client as needed in all phases of the project. The ideal candidate must be able to work independently and communicate effectively with design and engineering teams.

Essential Functions

• Advise the client(s) on interior design factors, including space planning, layout and utilization of furnishings and equipment, color schemes and color coordination, dependent on project requirements.
• Render design ideas in the form of paste-ups, drawings or illustrations.
• Estimate material requirements and costs and presents design and costs to client for approval.
• Provide design guidance, leadership and approval of all interior design/space planning aspects of projects.
• Provide assistance and coordination with CADD technicians for interior-related drawings such as Floor Finish Plan, Wall Finish Plan, Reflected Ceiling Plan, Interior Elevations, Casework Sections and Room Finish Schedules.
• Meet design schedules and interior design/space planning fees and construction budgets.
• Communicate with representatives of manufacturers and/or distributors for availability, pricing, installation and specifications on products or materials used in interior design projects.
• Provide expertise in sustainable design practices and LEED principles as required by the project.
• Collaborate and coordinate with outside consultants on projects.
• May supervise or coordinate the work of project design team and other technical support personnel.

Qualifications

The Electrical Engineer is a experienced professional engineer (PE) who can define a project, develop a set of tasks to accomplish the project, coordinate and monitor the work involved in the tasks, and deliver a final product on time and within prescribed budget. This individual must have a general understanding of all electrical systems including facility power, electrical distribution, lighting and special systems ideally in commercial, healthcare, educational, and federal facilities.

Responsibilities

• Assess the requirements of the client’s needs; manage the design and production aspects of the project.
• Function as the electrical project manager and/or electrical project engineer; responsible for design, planning, organizing and directing the activities of EE for FourFront projects.
• Develop and maintain design standards that coordinate with current company standards.
• Responsible for management of electrical design Quality Control procedures.
• Promote and provide expertise in sustainable design practices as required by the project.
• Review design and construction budgets and schedules, manage work accordingly.
• Determine electrical design and project scope, budget and staffing requirements.

• Assign and review work where required and provide coordination with multiple disciplines.

• Responsible for the accuracy and quality of all technical work.
• Participates in the preparation of proposals.
• Reviews contracts, invoices, and other project documentation before distribution to the client.
• Coordinates work of outside consultants in the area of electrical engineering.
• Supports development of the electrical engineering line of business to meet firm objectives.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5+ years previous electrical design experience, particularly in architectural design.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Professional Engineering license required.

• Sufficient knowledge of LEED principles to become LEED accredited.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

The Mechanical Engineer for FourFront Design is an experienced engineer who can define a project, develop a set of tasks to accomplish the project, coordinate and monitor the work involved in the tasks and deliver a final product on time and within prescribed budget. He/she must have a general understanding of all mechanical systems including plumbing, fire protection, heating, ventilating, air conditioning and temperature controls. Candidate will have oversight and management of this discipline of work as well as responsibility for coordination with other disciplines associated with each specific project. The position responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to; preliminary designs, sustainable design criteria, LEED compliance, project budgeting and construction cost estimating, presentations, plan and specification generation, bidding and construction administration responsibilities.

Essential Functions

• Assess the requirements of the project and clients needs and be able to manage the design and production aspects of the project.
• Function as the mechanical project manager and/or mechanical project engineer; responsible for design, planning, organizing and directing the activities of Mechanical Engineering for FourFront Design projects.
• Develop and maintain production and CAD standards that coordinate with current company standards.
• Responsible for management of mechanical design Quality Control procedures.
• Promote and provide expertise in sustainable design practices as required by the project. Familiarization with LEED principles is required.
• Review design and construction budgets and schedules; manage work accordingly.
• Participate in company and project meetings.
• Determine mechanical design and project scope, budget and staffing requirements.
• Knowledge of applicable codes and ordinances. Work with code officials and other design professionals when an interpretation or exception to building codes is required.
• Proficient in use of AutoCAD and REVIT programs. Assign and review work where required and provide coordination with multiple disciplines.

• Resolve day-to-day problems of mostly technical nature. When acting as a project leader, responsibility includes meeting schedule, budget and quality requirements. At times, individual will be responsible for review of construction documents prior to final review.
• Assist in the education and development of mechanical design staff and act as a resource for mechanical design questions.
• Maintain neat and organized work area which allows efficient access to project information required by other team members.
• Interpret the intent of mechanical contract drawings and specifications for the Client, General Contractor, Building Inspector and other interested parties.

• Must have PE license.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Photograph National Cemetery plots, mass graves, monuments, and columbariums.
• Verification of all plots with the cemetery maps.
• Review all images of every plot with the section maps to ensure any missing images or images that need to be retaken due to poor photography.
• Running tablet, GIS antenna, camera equipment.
• Manage files for each project. Transfer and save data according to standard file structure.

Skills Required
