South Dakota Women's Prison
Facility Boiler Replacement

FourFront Design, Inc. provided construction drawings and specifications to replace the existing boilers serving the South Dakota Women’s Prison in Pierre, South Dakota.

We presented the option of converting the existing heating water system to a primary secondary pumping loop that would utilize variable frequency drives. This would increase efficiency, save energy, and save money in the form of lower utility consumption.

As a part of this project, the existing natural gas-fired boilers and boiler accessories were completely demolished. New high-efficiency natural gas boilers were installed. A bypass filter and in-line circulation pump were added in order to add reliability and lower maintenance.
